Situation: Intelligence reports that insurgents forces are conducting reconnaissance against targets in the allied city of Dakrasi in an effort to collect sensitive information on the local infrastructure for future operations.
Rules of Engagement: Rules of Engagement published 12 MAY 05 are in effect. Use appropriate force against positively identified enemy combatants only. Minimize damage to local infrastructure. Be advised civilian refugees may be present in contested area.
Mission: Squad from the 172nd Sep. Infantry BDE must secure Objectives ALPHA and BRAVO to protect allied assets and prevent enemy from gathering intelligence.
Enemy: Insurgent forces armed with small arms and hand-held munitions.
Friendly: Squad from the 172nd Sep. Infantry BDE
Terrain: Downtown urban office and residential streets. Terrain includes two one-lane roads bisecting a main two-lane road, likely filled with parked or derelict civilian vehicles, and alleyways behind and around buildings. The local structures are comprised of various 1 to 4 story apartments, small businesses, and office buildings.
