ASSAULT - Briefing
Situation: A known terrorist cell has set up a base of operations in a small border village.Intelligence reports confirm they are planning a synchronized bombing strike at several different civilian landmarks. Intelligence also reports that high level sensitive information (PRECIOUS CARGO) pertaining to this bombing strike is being kept at this location.
Rules of Engagement: Use of force authorized against all positively identified enemy combatants. Be aware that there are other non-combatant personnel in the area. Minimize harm to local infrastructure.
Mission: Secure the precious cargo located in building DELTA 683 at vicinity grid 22635986 and then proceed to extraction point.
Enemy: Squad sized unit armed with assault rifles, light machine guns, and advanced marksmanship support.
Friendly: One squad from the 172nd Sep. Infantry BDE. with advanced marksmanship support.
Terrain: Two small desert villages made up of 1-2 story adobe structures. The villages are separated by dirt roads and are surrounded by open fields void of much cover.
