Description:
Enemy forces have established a remote desert outpost from which to launch reconnaissance patrols and conduct ambushes. A Special Forces operational detachment alpha (ODA), along with the help of Indigenous Forces, must perform Reconnaissance of the area in order to identify the location of this guerilla base. Once identified, they must then egress to a rally point in order to upload their reconnaissance reports to HQ

 

ASSAULT - Briefing

Situation: Enemy forces have established an outpost from which to launch reconnaissance patrols and conduct ambushes of friendly indigenous forces operating in AO BULLDOG. Reconnaissance of the outpost must be conducted to determine the best method of eliminating the hostile force operating there. Rules of Engagement: Rules of Engagement published 14MAR04 are in effect. Mission: ODA 214 reconnoiters Objective HURRICANE, vicinity AH303020 commencing 06 0800Z May 04 to determine enemy composition, disposition and strength in order to prepare for follow-on offensive operations. Enemy: Squad-sized element of enemy soldiers supported by foreign advisors. Enemy elements are believed to include two armored personnel carriers. Friendly: Split Team "Alpha" 574 and Resistance Fire Team. Terrain: Rolling dunes and hills with hot temperatures. Take proper warm weather precautions.

DEFENSE - Briefing

Situation: Enemy forces are attempting to locate a friendly operating base within AO BULLDOG. Friendly forces must destroy the enemy reconnaissance teams before they can identify and report the location of the friendly operating base. Rules of Engagement: Rules of Engagement published 14MAR04 are in effect. Mission: ODA 574 attacks Objective HURRICANE, vicinity HO303020 commencing 06 0800Z May 04 to destroy enemy forces in order to prevent dissemination of intelligence concerning the location of the guerilla base. Enemy: Squad-sized element of enemy soldiers supported by foreign advisors. Friendly: Split Team "Alpha" 214 and Resistance Fire Team. Terrain: Rolling dunes and hills with hot temperatures. Take proper warm weather precautions.
