This is a public service announcement to keep you informed of some of the issues we have been experiencing at AA Command. For the second time in the last couple of weeks we are experiencing some difficulties with our forums. For some reason or another about 75% of people (including myself) are unable to login/post in the forums. Along with this issue new users are unable to register because the verification image is not showing as it should. We have been working on this issue as much as possible. I thank you for your patience as we deal with this very frustrating situation and i will do my best to keep everyone up-to-date.
Along with this i apologize for now having UGL Week 2 Predictions up. I would also like to apologize to sixxtoes and chronox for taking the time out of their day to do the predictions. Unfortunately, while attempting to fix the forums their prediction and my writeup for the predictions were lost. I'm currently a student and preparing for midterms and multiple papers this week and barely have time to breath, otherwise i would have rewritten it. I assure you that we will do our best to have our competition coverage back on track this coming week.
Thanks for your support and patience,

| Article by wh!z - March 6, 2009, 7:31 pmTWL Winter 09' | Week Two Predictions |
Week two of TWL presents us with the oft forgotten map Swamp Raid. It is one of those maps that you either love or abhor and it lends itself to quick rushes and slow pushes alike. The proximity of the two spawns can produce a 30 second round while the darkness and tree cover can make for some very stealthy plays. Mr. Clean our resident stats master and everybody's favorite poster donmai have joined us to write about the upcoming matches.

| Article by 12ampage - March 4, 2009, 3:17 pmAA 3.0 will use Steam |
It has been confirmed that Americas Army 3.0 will take advantage of the Steam system. What exactly is Steam? Steam is a free service which hosts games and game resources. Steam currently hosts just about any major FPS you can think of. I have personally not had the opportunity to use Steam but i'm very excited that it will be included with AA 3.0. Some great features of Steam include: Tools for networking ("meet up with friends, connect with groups with similar interests, and host and join chats, matches, and tournaments"), in-game instant messaging, integrated server browser, automatic game updates, ingame web browser, and the ability to access your game from any computer.

| Article by Snoop - March 3, 2009, 7:55 pmGuide of the Month! |
Out of all the good guides submitted over the last few months, TigerD7's guide on Aiming Techniques & Brief Introduction to Range Estimation is one of the best. The guide already has over 1000 views and is one of the most popular ones among new and old players. TigerD7's guide goes over each weapon's sights and their accuracy.
Everyone knows that using iron or optical sights is vastly more accurate then the crosshairs that are projected on the computer screen when the weapon is “un-scoped”. However, using these sights requires some training, especially since the Point Of Impact (POA) or ‘where the bullets hit’, is not always where you might expect it to be. :( This post will show the exact POA for every weapon sight you will find in AA 2.8.4. The POA is represented by the yellow dot in each picture.
To check out the rest of this great guide. Go to the Tactical Source. Don't forget to leave any comments you have and thank the author if you find it helpful. There are many other great guides to check out as well. Once again, thank you TigerD7 for such a great guide...

| Article by 12ampage - March 1, 2009, 10:38 pmUGL Week 1 Predictions |
This week kicks off the first official week of UGL season 2. Last week we saw some great preseasson matches which hopefully forshadows a great season at UGL. The last couple seasons of other leagues have been riddled with no-shows, in preseason UGL had one team no-show but this is a vast improvment or other dying leagues. Lets cross our fingers that this will remain the only no-show of the season.
Last week we also saw the UGL AC client working in action. Two players, Helios and Anon from team public exe were caught hacking in a preseason match. I will admit i was a little curious about the validity of the ac client as it was put together quickly, but it appears to be doing its job. An inside source has also told me that a new version of the AC client is being released tonight (Sunday). Only time will tell how well it continues to uphold a fair playing environment for all of us.
