Article by sixxtoes - April 2, 2009, 8:09 pmXfire Releases In-Game WebBrowser for AA

Xfire is currently in development of the latest tool to make our gaming lives just that much easier.  Their in-game web browser, which is coming available for more and more games with every update, is up and running as far as AA is concerned.  It can be viewed with a typical Xfire style command of 'Scroll Lock + w'

For those of you who are like me and minimize every time you die, this could become your new friend.  I browsed a few forums, got my daily dose of youtube, and wrote this article all while patiently awaiting another round to start

Article by wh!z - April 1, 2009, 12:36 amTWL Winter '09 | Week Six Predictions

The last week of regular season leaves us with the defeaning map that is SF Sandstorm. This map is a very interesting map since it can be played in many different ways. Some teams always go for kills while others go for objectives. The same applies to the pace that the map is played at. This is a map were teamkills are very common and as such comms are crucial to victory. Since only the top two teams from each division make it to the playoffs the really interesting thing to consider this week is the standings. Division two is set but, division one one the other hand is a totally different story. Check out the picture below and don't forget to check the bottom of the article for more predictions.

Article by wh!z - March 28, 2009, 3:14 pmTWL CSAR Tournament

The Third installment of the TWL NA 4v4 Sunday night tournament is about to begin tomorrow with teams facing off on the map Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR). These tournaments are a recent addition to TWL’s match repertoire and distinguish themselves from normal league play by being played on a single map as the weeks go by. Since the Tourneys are open for anybody to register open teams are given a great opportunity as they are allowed to play against some of the top teams in the game. The first tournament was played on insurgent camp where overRated took the win while the second tourney was played on the map pipeline with IceNine. coming out on top. Since CSAR is a map that is not used very often in Leagues due to interesting circumstances arising with the pilot. We should see some very interesting upsets as the weeks go on. Does anybody here remember CoolGuy's shenanigans?

Teams to watch are fightclub, IceNine, Renewed Existence, Latin Fusion and united Gamers. It's just too bad that the seeding was done in such a way that all of the stronger teams except for fightclub are in division two.

Article by 12ampage - March 28, 2009, 11:55 amUGL Week 5 Predictions

Week 5 of UGL is on one of the most popular competition maps: Pipeline.  This week we will see a few lopsided matchups due to the nature of pipeline.  Pipeline requries a consistent defence and a very strong offence.  Assaulting pipeline is all about timing smokes into mainpump and working as a team to secure the cp or primary valuve.  There is always chance for upset but I dont expect the standings at UGL to change to much this week.

Current Top 3 Teams:

  1. United Gamers
  2. Inevitable Defeat (+1)
  3. IceNine (+1)

*Just outside: FightClub
