This week a few inactive/banned teams have been removed from the match listings, these teams include: n3, na, syn, and w!p. WIth the removal of these teams the playing field has evened up a bit. This week we will see several very close matches and it should prove to be an interesting week as we approach UGL playoffs. There are currently 3 undefeated teams in UGL, will we see that number decrease after tuesdays matches? Stay tuned for more AACommand predictions as we near and enter UGL Season 2 Playoffs.

Article by Snoop - April 13, 2009, 1:01 amAA Grafix Pak

Here at AAC we just finished mixin up a new feature for the AA Community...we finally got the graphics pack put together and released. At the started of the AAC project we decided to get some new images from AA...we were was getting tired of the old "used & abused" images floating around the web. We are sure many of you can agree on that, we've been using the same images for to many years. A few months ago Snoop set out to gather a bunch of new game shots from all the maps. Finally he got the time to share them with the community guys...

The AA Grafix Pak contains over 300 unique screenshots taken in high resolution 1024x768 or 1680x1050. All free of charge with no watermarks at all. We are sure we can all agree that the designing community of America's Army deserves some new material in circulation.

Check the download page out HERE.
This took a lot of time to complete, the only thing we ask of you is not to redistribute/claim them as your own.

One more thing, with these new images there is bound to be some nice artwork done up. It would be great to see what you can do with these images...so stop by the forums and show your work! GFX Thread

Enjoy!

IceNine. vs Final Destination

This is an interesting matchup since neither team has any problems with the maps that were picked. IceNine. has not lost a match on Urban in a very long time but they did lose on MOUT this season. This loss to v3 seems to display a weakness in the IceNne. team. Contrastingly, FinalD is a team that doesn’t seem to have any major weaknesses. Finals matches always seem to come down to the wire and fd will most likely lose a bunch of rounds due to i9 somehow winning in clutch situations. Basically, I think that i9 will take the win on Urban and will pull out a tie on MOUT giving them the win overall. From what everyone tells me, Final Destination plays maps about as aggressively as Gandhi jumping over rainbows tossing flowers everywhere. Fortunately for i9, wh!z is a longstanding member of the RWaTHBB or Rainbow Warriors and Try-Hard Busters Brigade. i9 Will win both maps, UA handily and MOUT by one or two rounds.

overRated vs United Gamers

These two teams actually present us with a very good matchup. overRated excels at tunnel but, they often falter on Urban Assault as can be seen by their recent loss to v3 on that map. uG on the other hand doesn't seem to excel at any particular map but, they are solid at most. During the course of this match I see uG barely winning on ua and losing on tunnel. Since the overtime map is SF Dockside I Think that this match will almost be based on the luck of the draw. With Dockside's random spawns playing such a huge role in who wins a round I'm afraid that one team may be given an advantage over the other. Even so I think that oR's team cohesion will really shine here and that they will be able to take the win and move on to the finals. Like a moth to a flame burned by desire, oR returns to the Tunnel of Love for a date with uG. Once inside the dark tube of first kisses and awkward hand-jobs, oR should be able to convince uG to give up the goods. However, uG will feel guilty about it later and turn oR in to the police. Unfortunately for uG, the police won't have enough evidence for a conviction and oR will walk. oR 7-3 on Tunnel and 4-4-1 tie on tunnel.

Article by Snoop - April 10, 2009, 7:05 pmWestern Standings Update #2

Well its been a few weeks since we released the western scoreboard and its time for an update. Now that we have a better system done up we will update it weekly after all the previous weeks are finished. In the past few weeks there have been some big changes in the west, the overRated clan took a loss to Version 3 dropping them to 5th on the Top List. How ever the Version 3 team took a hard fall as well after a few losses in both leagues putting them at 12th.  The two Open teams, Clutch Gaming and eXtreme Fidelity are still sitting in the Top 10 list at 9th and 10th. Severe Insomnia went from 15th to 7th after a few great wins, Just Cause Project jumped up to 6th after two great wins against defiance and syNdicate Gaming. Final Destination now appears on the Top 5 list just after Inevitable Defeat (unchanged). United Gamers is put into 2nd place after beating Team Vigilantes 9 - 4 in a great match.  After a well faught week and some good matches, IceNine comes out on top...IceNine has eleven wins and one defeat competing in both TWL and UGL.

Clans That Have Forfeit (more then once): Negative Affects, Lost Cause, Non-Sense, work !n Progress. Deployable Independent Combat Element, .Zoologico., OPFOR, Tbag by Request, 7th Marine Regimen, Team 2.5
It is very sad to see so many Forfeits, i hope this changes in future seasons.

Article by 12ampage - April 7, 2009, 12:17 amUGL Week 6 Predictions

This week begins Week 6 of UGL competition on one of my favorite competition maps, Urban Assault.  Urban Assault offers fast game play, organized pushes, and strategic camps.  One of the interesting elements of Urban Assault is a teams approach to ties.  You will see some teams that shoot to win every round while you see other teams try to get in the lead then aim to tie every round.  Both of these methods have been proven to work but in today's competition i see very few teams disciplined enough to be able to shoot for ties and expect to win.

This week I would also like to apologize for getting the predictions out so late.  As the end of the semester nears and as my other duties increase I will do my best to keep you updated on AA competition.  I'd also like to thank vDom and staind for getting there preds to me a long time ago.
