Things seem to be getting hotter as the weeks go on. For the past month there hasn't been very much developments on AA3 but that is changing. Finally we see something new over on the official site, a few weeks ago they released a few games to play on AA3.com. Yesterday AA announced their official AA3 fan group is now on the very popular social network, Facebook.com. The AA3 Fan Page is a place for gamers to keep up with AA3 and meet fello AA gamers. It also expands AA's advertising to the younger generation and hopefully attracts more attention. Besides game updates, you could have a chance to win a free AA T-Shirt by answering some of the questions posted up. The series of questions are leading up to the first official Trailer which is said to be released exclusively on Facebook with in the next few days.

About a month or two ago, FilePlanet had announced that they would be offering Beta keys out to FP Subscribers. This brought a lot of disappointment to long time AA supporters. Subscribers can now download AA3 Beta from Fileplanet.com for a low payment of $7. Having to pay to play a free BETA game just doesn't seem right, how ever you do get access to loads of other betas and downloads so its not to bad. You can get more information on this HERE
Clean up your desktop, get rid of that old backdrop you have...its time to get the AA3 mood set. The AA Team has released eight new AA3 wallpapers for you to choose from.

|
|

Well the 2nd season of the latest Unlimited Gaming League has come to an end. Just Cause Project came back from their ruff start to take the season after beating inevitable Defeat in the finals. iD was the home team so they picked Collapsed Tunnel, jCp has been known to struggle on this map but they over came the odds and won 6 - 4. Then -jCp scored 7 - 3 on their pick of SF Sandstorm . Now 3rd place is up for grabs, undoubtedly IceNine deserves this. They went the whole regular season without a defeat and had a 68% round win, they played an extremely good season. Following up behind IceNine is United Gamers' AA Division. Over all it was a good season, all the teams did great and we hope to see you all next season! Check back later for an after season interview with jCp... |

The UGL Final's match is upon us with jCp facing up against id;. Both teams have worked hard and shot well to get here and the title is just one more step away. jCp has taken down i9 and uG to get here, id; has had a debatably easier run having taken down fd and Infamy.
My interview this week comes from tmar of id;.
interview with id;tmar!
Q: How have the playoffs gone for your team so far? Have you done as well as you expected?
A: The playoffs have gone great so far, we squeeked out a win from FD and romped on Infamy. We're doing just as well as I thought we would. We didnt have XBlade to play for us this season, but instead got Chrones... who we all know is the #1 LAN proven player in the game.
Q: Can you give me a short summary on last week's match?
A: Versus Infamy, I took an Assault round on Pipeline, and so did AliGator. We are champs, and Chris pegged a guy on SF Dockside. So thats how that match went. Did better than expected on Dockside (terrible map) and won.
Q: What are you doing to prepare for tuesday and what do you expect?
A: We cant really prepare for Sandstorm vs jCp. I mean, honestly, Sandstorm? lol. But we have Tunnel and are good at that so good luck jCp!
Thanks for that tmar! As far as jCp goes, they didn`t want to do an interview, but they did mumble something about teams only choosing tunnel against them. Either way I expect them to give id; a run for their money, and maybe if they win they will answer a few of my questions. Thanks for reading and good luck to both teams. |

Its hard for pub teams to get into active competition, trying to work around a major league's schedule can be hard. Random scrims with other clans is always fun, but its never anything official or worth anything. But there is a short and well set up method that any team can partake in, every Friday and Saturday TournamentsbyECK.com hosts a variety of short one night tournaments that teams can compete in a clean fair way. For the past 2 years, 400+ clans have competed in over 250 tournaments in hopes of taking home the night's title. TournamentsbyECK is a great opportunity for clans of all caliber to get active and play some organized fun.
"One day I got to thinking, I could do a tournament in 4 hours instead of three days. That’s when I came up tournamentsbyeck.com"
We feel that TournamentsbyECK is a great way to feed the competitive group with new teams in hopes of growing the community. So if your team is interested in competing in one of these short tournaments, check out their website and sign your team up for one! Last week I thought it would be interesting to get a inside scoop on this organization, click below to see the interview with Ron Highleyman, the man in charge of TournamentsbyECK.

Today's news comes in three parts including a video, some games, and a glance at yet another one of the different roles AA3 will bring us. To start off with what I found most exciting is a new development video which takes you on a run through the AA3 obstacle course. This is not the same course that we all know and love, but I'm sure it will grow on us with time...
To view this new video, move your mouse this direction and click here

Next up on my top 3 list would be the games, which despite being fairly basic in concept and gameplay, managed to entertain me for a solid 20 minutes, which let me clarify is harder than it seems. You can check out a screenshot of the downloadable game 'Blackhawk Challenge' to your right in case you didn't notice, or just go here and try them all out for yourself.
Now last, but definitely not least, is a new role that we haven't had very much experience with. It is the Squad Designated Marksman. This role is a cross between a rifleman and a sniper, and as such is designed to engage targets in between the ranges of a rifleman and a sniper (300-600 meters). To read more about this position click here. Now to watch/read/play everything in this article and more, why not take a browse through the AA3 website and see all the stuff the dev's are doing in anticipation of AA3. |
